New 'Power Knee' aims to make walking easier for amputees
NCT ID NCT04787627
Summary
This study tested a new powered prosthetic knee to see if it makes walking and daily activities easier for people with above-knee amputations. Seventeen participants tried the new 'Power Knee' and their own microprocessor-controlled knee in a crossover design. Researchers measured how much effort walking took, how far people could walk, and their safety and comfort with tasks like using stairs and getting up from chairs.
