Eat more bananas or cut salt? study tests which diet advice works better
NCT ID NCT07221448
Summary
This study aims to find out if teaching people to eat more potassium-rich foods is easier and more effective for improving blood vessel health than teaching them to cut back on salt. Researchers will enroll 32 generally healthy young adults who typically eat a lot of salt. Participants will receive one-on-one nutrition coaching for four weeks, focusing on either increasing potassium or reducing sodium, and their diet and heart health will be tracked for six months.
