New hope for moms: writing vs breathing to heal birth trauma

Summary
This study will test two different approaches to help new mothers who develop PTSD symptoms after a difficult childbirth. Researchers will compare a writing therapy program with a breathing exercise technique against usual care. The goal is to see which method works better to reduce PTSD, depression, and anxiety symptoms while improving mother-baby bonding and overall recovery.
