Postcards boost heart device connectivity in VA study
NCT ID NCT07477964
First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether mailing informational postcards to patients with heart devices (like pacemakers or defibrillators) could help them reconnect to remote monitoring at home. Over 1,300 patients who had lost connection were randomly assigned to receive a postcard or not. The goal was to see if a simple reminder could improve how quickly and consistently patients reconnected, helping doctors keep better track of their heart health.
