Smart insoles could help guide recovery after knee or hip surgery

NCT ID NCT03673293

Summary

This study tested a new wireless insole device that measures how people walk and bear weight after knee or hip replacement surgery. Researchers wanted to see if the device could accurately track recovery and if giving patients real-time feedback about their walking pattern could help them walk more evenly. The study involved 58 adults who had recently undergone or were scheduled for joint replacement surgery.
