Massive study digs into why surgery can cloud your mind

NCT ID NCT02832193

Summary

This study is collecting and analyzing existing data to better understand how often surgery leads to problems with memory, thinking, and concentration, known as postoperative cognitive dysfunction. It will involve up to 5,000 adults who have had surgery, comparing them to people who haven't had surgery. The main goal is to measure how common these issues are and identify what factors might make someone more likely to experience them.
