First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This pilot study tests whether giving a blood thinner (rivaroxaban) and a high-dose statin (atorvastatin) to adults who had heart injury after noncardiac surgery can reduce future heart problems. The study will enroll 50 people aged 45 and older to see if this approach is feasible and well-tolerated. The goal is to design a larger trial to improve heart health after surgery.
