First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested a single injection of a long-acting painkiller (SDE) in 221 adults recovering from hemorrhoid surgery. Half received the shot, half a placebo, and pain levels were tracked for 48 hours. The goal was to see if SDE provides better pain relief and reduces the need for extra pain medication.
