First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested a Post-Dental Extraction Care Kit (PDEC-kit) to see if it helps patients better understand and follow care instructions after a tooth extraction, and if it reduces anxiety. 208 adults having routine tooth extractions took part. One group got standard verbal instructions, while the other also received the kit, which included a video, flashcards, a live demonstration, and a take-home brochure. The goal was to improve knowledge, compliance, and ease dental anxiety.
