NCT ID NCT07374133

First seen Jan 30, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looked at 60 women having planned C-sections to compare two pain relief methods: giving morphine through the spinal needle versus a numbing injection into the belly wall using ultrasound guidance. The main goal was to see which approach better reduced the need for extra pain medicine in the first 24 hours after surgery. The researchers also tracked pain scores, side effects like nausea and itching, and overall recovery quality.
