Pork diet trial aims to cool hot flashes and boost heart health
NCT ID NCT06976112
Summary
This study is comparing two diets to see which is better for heart health and menopause symptoms in overweight perimenopausal women. About 30 women will eat a diet high in fresh lean pork for 4 weeks and a plant-based diet for 4 weeks, in a random order. Researchers will measure blood vessel function, cholesterol, blood pressure, and how much hot flashes interfere with daily life.
