Summary
This study tests if a strong drug (ponatinib) given for 6 months, followed by a standard drug (imatinib), can help people with chronic myeloid leukemia reach a deep remission. The goal is to see if patients can eventually stop all medication and stay cancer-free. The trial involves 170 adults aged 18 to 65 who are newly diagnosed.
