Summary

This study tested a drug called pomalidomide in 26 HIV-positive people with Kaposi sarcoma, a type of skin cancer. The drug works by boosting the immune system and blocking blood vessel growth to tumors. The goal was to see if the drug could shrink or eliminate the cancer while monitoring side effects. Participants were from Sub-Saharan Africa and continued their HIV treatment during the study.
