New drug cocktail shows promise for Hard-to-Treat myeloma
NCT ID NCT03731832
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested a combination of three drugs (pomalidomide, ixazomib, and dexamethasone) with or without a fourth drug (cyclophosphamide) in 66 adults with multiple myeloma that had come back or stopped responding to treatment. The goal was to see how well the treatment controlled the disease. Participants received the drugs in cycles, and the study checked for tumor shrinkage or stabilization. This is not a cure, as ongoing management is still needed.
