Race against time: finding the perfect polyp checkup schedule

NCT ID NCT07198945

Summary

This study aims to determine whether checking for polyp regrowth at 6 months or 12 months after removal is better for patient safety and convenience. Researchers will follow 546 adults who had large, non-cancerous colon polyps removed to see which follow-up schedule best catches regrowth while minimizing unnecessary procedures. The goal is to establish clearer guidelines for preventing colon cancer through optimal monitoring.
