New combo therapy tested for rare blood disorder

NCT ID NCT07445893

Summary

This study is testing whether a new drug called gecacitinib, when combined with an existing medication (pegylated interferon), can help control polycythemia vera. Researchers want to see if this combination can bring blood counts back to normal levels and reduce symptoms like fatigue and itching. The study will involve about 30 adults with PV who haven't tried similar treatments before.
