NCT ID NCT05606289
Summary
This study is testing whether a 40-hour mental health training program for police officers improves their skills during crisis calls. Researchers are comparing 240 officers who receive the training with those who don't, measuring their de-escalation techniques and decision-making. The goal is to understand if this specific training helps officers interact more safely and effectively with people experiencing mental health crises.
