Can a podcast stop HIV? new study aims to reach underserved communities
NCT ID NCT05365958
Summary
This study tested whether video podcasts could be a practical way to deliver HIV prevention education to African American adults. Researchers created male and female-focused podcasts based on proven prevention programs and measured if they increased participants' confidence in using condoms, intention to get tested, and actual testing rates over 3 months. The goal was to find an easy-to-share method to reduce HIV risk in communities that are often hard to reach with traditional programs.
