Neck ultrasound could keep heart failure patients out of the hospital

Summary
This study tests whether using a simple bedside ultrasound to check fluid levels in heart failure patients can help doctors give the right amount of medication to remove excess fluid. The goal is to reduce the number of patients readmitted to the hospital within 30 days and to protect the kidneys from injury. The study will enroll 588 adults hospitalized with worsening heart failure.
