New plan aims to curb unneeded antibiotics for Kids' pneumonia
NCT ID NCT07099976
Summary
This study aims to test a new care plan to help doctors decide when antibiotics are truly needed for children with mild pneumonia. It will enroll about 700 children in emergency rooms who are well enough to go home. The goal is to safely reduce unnecessary antibiotic prescriptions, which can cause side effects and contribute to antibiotic resistance.
