Heart surgery patients: could a common hospital infection derail your recovery?
NCT ID NCT07476274
Summary
This study aims to understand if getting pneumonia in the hospital after heart bypass surgery leads to worse heart and lung health over the following year. Researchers will observe 80 patients who have had the surgery, comparing those who develop pneumonia to those who do not. They will track health outcomes and look for early signs that might predict who is at higher risk for complications.
