First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests a new pneumococcal vaccine (Pn-MAPS30plus) in 60 healthy infants to see if it is safe and what side effects it causes. Babies will receive three doses starting around 2 months old, followed by a booster at 12-15 months. The study compares the new vaccine to an existing one (PCV20) and monitors for reactions like tenderness, fever, and irritability.
