Scientists probe immune System's weak spot in devastating brain disease
NCT ID NCT04453917
Summary
This study aimed to understand how a rare and severe brain infection called PML might weaken the body's immune defenses. Researchers followed 22 patients to see if specific markers on immune cells were linked to how well their bodies could fight the virus and their recovery. The goal was to gather knowledge that could lead to new treatments, not to test a treatment directly.
