NCT ID NCT04630301

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study measured the pressure inside the chest of 37 adults with a collapsed lung (pneumothorax) before their chest tube was placed. The goal was to better understand how pressure changes, especially in a dangerous type called tension pneumothorax. Researchers tracked whether patients later needed additional procedures, but the study did not test any new treatment.
