Scientists hunt for clues in deadly chest infections
NCT ID NCT07194915
Summary
This study aims to understand if a specific immune response marker found in infected lung fluid is linked to how severe a chest infection gets and a patient's risk of dying within a year. Researchers observed 326 adult patients with severe pleural infections from around the world. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help doctors better predict patient outcomes in the future.
