Could your blood cells predict a brain aneurysm burst?
NCT ID NCT03408379
Summary
This study aims to understand if activated blood platelets play a role in causing a brain aneurysm to rupture. Researchers will compare blood samples from 230 patients who have a ruptured aneurysm to those with an unruptured aneurysm. The goal is to find a new predictor for rupture risk, which currently relies mainly on the aneurysm's size and location.
