Can a Patient's own blood speed up healing after dental surgery?

NCT ID NCT06776289

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a substance made from a patient's own blood, called platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), improves healing and reduces pain after a specific dental surgery. The surgery, called endodontic microsurgery, is performed to treat a persistent infection at the tip of a tooth's root. Researchers will compare the healing and pain levels in patients who receive the surgery with PRF to those who receive the standard surgery without it.
