Blood injection may boost muscle healing in athletes

NCT ID NCT07566039

First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether a single injection of platelet-poor plasma (a part of your blood) can help athletes recover from muscle injuries better than standard treatment. About 90 athletes aged 18-45 with leg muscle strains will get the injection and be monitored for 6 months using MRI scans. The goal is to see if this treatment reduces scar tissue and improves muscle regrowth.
