First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looked at how freezing changes platelets (blood cells that help stop bleeding) for possible use in cancer patients. Ten healthy donors gave platelets, which were frozen, thawed, and tested in a lab. The goal was to see if frozen platelets still work well enough to prevent bleeding in people with cancer.
