NCT ID NCT01604317

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether placing preterm or low birth weight babies in plastic bags right after birth, along with standard warming care, helps prevent dangerously low body temperature (hypothermia). About 182 infants born between 29 and 36 weeks of pregnancy or weighing 1.4 to 2.5 kg will be included. The main goal is to see if more babies stay warm one hour after birth compared to standard care alone.
