Race against time: testing Blood-Cleaning treatments to save Children's livers
NCT ID NCT06831643
Summary
This study is testing two different amounts of plasma exchange (a blood-cleaning treatment) to see which one better helps children survive sudden, severe liver failure with their own liver. Doctors will compare a standard volume treatment to a high-volume treatment in 40 children aged 3 to 18. The main goal is to see if the child's own liver can recover by day 21 without needing a transplant.
