Can a gentler plasma exchange save children's livers?

Summary
This study tests whether a standard amount of plasma exchange works as well as a high amount in children with sudden liver failure. The goal is to help the liver recover without needing a transplant. About 40 children aged 3 to 18 will be randomly assigned to one of two plasma exchange doses. The main focus is survival of the child's own liver after 21 days.
