First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study compares a higher volume of plasma exchange to the standard volume in 60 adults with sudden liver failure and brain swelling. The goal is to see if the higher dose reduces brain swelling faster and improves survival without needing a liver transplant. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments and monitored for side effects and outcomes over 21 days.
