Race against time: can more plasma exchange save livers and brains?

NCT ID NCT06515145

Summary

This study is for people with sudden, severe liver failure that causes dangerous brain swelling. It will test if a more intensive version of a blood-cleansing treatment (plasma exchange) works better than the standard version. Researchers will compare how quickly brain swelling improves and whether patients survive without needing a liver transplant.
