First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tested a simple blood test (liquid biopsy) to screen for anal dysplasia, a precancerous condition linked to HPV. Researchers enrolled 104 people with past or current anal HPV and compared their blood test results to standard tissue biopsies. The goal was to see if the blood test could accurately detect and classify anal dysplasia without needing an invasive procedure.
