Gut check: can a Plant-Powered diet beat obesity?
NCT ID NCT06911346
Summary
This study is testing whether getting more natural plant compounds, either from a specific diet or from supplements, can help people lose weight and lower their risk for heart disease. For 12 weeks, 99 adults with overweight will follow a calorie-controlled plan and be assigned to either a special plant-based diet, a standard diet with supplements, or a standard diet alone. Researchers will measure changes in weight, body composition, and blood markers to see which approach works best and how it might affect gut health.
