First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Apr 21, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study is testing whether getting more polyphenols—natural compounds found in plants—can help people lose weight and improve heart health. For 12 weeks, 99 adults with overweight or obesity will either follow a special plant-based diet, take polyphenol supplements, or follow standard healthy eating advice. Researchers will measure changes in body weight, blood pressure, and other health markers to see which approach works best.
