Can garden oils outperform fish oil? a new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07289919
Summary
This study is testing whether plant-based oils from Echium and Ahiflower plants can be good, sustainable alternatives to fish oil for increasing healthy omega-3 fats in your body. Fifteen healthy young adults will try different supplements for 8 weeks each, and researchers will check their blood to see which oil best raises omega-3 levels. The goal is to find a cheaper, more eco-friendly way to get the heart-health benefits of omega-3s.
