Simple cord drain may cut Post-Birth bleeding risk
NCT ID NCT07279545
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a simple technique: after cutting the umbilical cord, doctors open the clamp to let blood drain from the placenta. The goal is to see if this speeds up delivery of the placenta and reduces bleeding after birth. About 80 low-risk pregnant women will take part. The results could help prevent dangerous blood loss during childbirth.
