Can a simple scan predict Life-Saving surgery for moms?

NCT ID NCT06220760

Summary

This study aimed to see if a special ultrasound score, called the Placenta Accreta Index (PAI), could help doctors predict the best type of surgery for a dangerous pregnancy condition. Researchers looked at 154 pregnant women with placenta previa and a prior C-section. The goal was to see if the score could reliably tell surgeons whether a patient needed a full hysterectomy or could have a more conservative, fertility-sparing operation.
