Mind over pain: video may supercharge TENS for back pain relief
NCT ID NCT07535047
First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether watching a short video that explains how TENS (a device that uses mild electrical pulses) works can increase its pain-relieving effect in people with acute low back pain. About 40 adults with moderate to severe pain will receive standard physical therapy (TENS and exercises) with or without the video. The goal is to see if the video boosts placebo effects, leading to less pain and better movement.
