New combo tackles Tough-to-Treat leukemia

Summary
This study tests whether combining two targeted drugs, pirtobrutinib and venetoclax, can kill more cancer cells in people with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) whose disease progressed despite standard BTK inhibitor therapy. About 30 adults who are currently taking ibrutinib, acalabrutinib, or zanubrutinib and have signs of worsening disease will receive the combination. The main goal is to see if the cancer can be reduced to undetectable levels in the blood and bone marrow.
