NCT ID NCT07526012

First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study compares two stretching techniques—post-isometric relaxation and active isolated stretch—to see which better reduces pain, improves hip movement, and lowers disability in people with piriformis syndrome. Forty adults aged 20 to 55 with buttock pain that may travel down the back of the thigh will receive six sessions over two weeks, plus standard heat and electrical therapy. The goal is to help doctors choose the most effective hands-on treatment for this common cause of low back and hip pain.
