New study aims to solve the mystery of buttock pain diagnosis
NCT ID NCT07473349
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to diagnose piriformis syndrome, a condition that causes buttock and leg pain that can mimic sciatica. Researchers will test how accurate common physical exams and checklists are by comparing them to a standard diagnostic injection. The goal is to create clearer guidelines so doctors can identify this painful condition more reliably.
