Summary
This study aims to see if common physical exams and diagnostic criteria can accurately identify piriformis syndrome, a cause of buttock pain. Researchers will enroll 75 adults with gluteal pain and compare exam results to an ultrasound-guided lidocaine injection into the piriformis muscle. If pain drops by half after the injection, it confirms the syndrome. The goal is to find reliable, non-invasive ways to diagnose this condition.
