First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested a special app called PIRA that teaches children aged 4-10 and their parents about surgery in a fun, interactive way. The goal was to see if using the app before surgery reduces anxiety in both kids and parents, and helps kids wake up more calmly from anesthesia. The study compared the app to the standard education families usually receive.
