First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new experimental drug called VTx-002 in 12 people with ALS. The main goal is to see if the drug is safe and tolerable when given as a single injection into the fluid around the brain and spinal cord. Researchers will also look for signs that the drug might slow down the disease, but this is a first-in-human trial focused on safety.
