New supplement could boost heartburn relief for millions on standard meds

Summary
This study tests whether adding a special sugar blend called PIMO (MHS-1031) to standard heartburn medication (PPIs) can give people with GERD more days without heartburn. About 247 adults who still have symptoms despite PPI use will take either PIMO or a placebo for 8 weeks. The goal is to see if this combination improves daily comfort and reduces symptom severity.
