First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026

Summary

This study looks at people with a severe type of ankle fracture called a pilon fracture. Doctors will use a very small camera (nano-arthroscopy) during an early surgery to check for hidden cartilage damage in the ankle joint. The goal is to learn how often these hidden injuries happen and whether seeing them changes the best way to fix the fracture.
