Can a pilates machine beat the mat for back pain relief?
NCT ID NCT07261020
Summary
This study tested whether Pilates done on a special machine (reformer) is better than floor-based (mat) Pilates for women with a herniated disc in the lower back. It involved 40 women and measured their pain, fear of movement, and quality of life before and after the exercise programs. The goal was to see which type of Pilates might offer more relief from back pain symptoms.
