Pig skin graft tested to improve healing around dental implants

NCT ID NCT07436091

Summary

This study aims to see if a collagen membrane made from pig skin can effectively build up and strengthen the gum tissue around dental implants. Fifteen adult participants who need more gum tissue around an existing implant will have the membrane placed using a specific surgical technique. Researchers will track changes in tissue thickness, healing, appearance, and patient comfort over a full year.
